Martino Barbieri Martino Barbieri was born
in 1948 in Bentivoglio (Bo), lives and works in Casalecchio di Reno
(Bo). In 1965 he began his experience as a graphic. In 1973 he attended
engraving courses held by Dino Zuffi, a teacher in the Fine Art Academy
in Bologna. In 1974 he started his expositive career with graphic. In
1975 the sign became substance- sculpture in wood-carving. In 1983 from
wood to ceramics and copper, the research –journey went on till
he met glass in 1984.In 1990 he became a student of the Dutch sculptor
Frank van den Ham, going deep into melting-techniques and afterwards
creating a personal artistic research. Since 2001 he has co-operated
and has been vice-president of the cultural association and Publishing
House Hermatena. He has taken part in several personal and collective
exhibitions in various Italian cities ( Roma, Faenza (Bo), Bologna,
Modena, Padova, Chieti, Ferrara). He has, among others, realised the
following sets: 1979 – Piazza Italia Nuova – Bologna; 1979
– Piazza Manunzio – Bologna; 2000 – “LUCIDA
NENIA” Osservatorio Astronomico S. Giovanni in Persicelo –
Bologna; 2001 – VOLO DI POSATE VERSO I CIBI DELL’ ANIMA
– Piazza San Francesco – Modena; 2002 – “IL
MANTELLO DI: name and surname” Sala Absidale di Santa Lucia –
Alma Mater Studiorum – Bologna. He has created the following plates:
