Morena Poltronieri

She has been president of the cultural Association Centro Ricerche La Porta della Luna since 1994, in collaboration with Assessorati alla Cultura of various Comuni, (Bologna, Ferrara, Modena, Mantova, Milano, Bolzano, Merano, Trieste) organising historical cultural itineraries, promoving lectures and meetings on the symbolism of the main artistic and architectural works in the above mentioned cities. Since 2001 president of Edizioni Hermatena. For this Association she has published various texts together with the collegue and artist Ernesto Fazioli and the photographer Ornella Lamberti. In May 1997 she took part in exhibition Stellage – das offengelegt Verborgene, by Schlanders – Kulturhaus “Karl Schonherr”. In 2000 she organized and took part in the Exhibitions ^The misteries of Alchemy“, Rocca Bentivolesca in Bazzano (Bo) and the Museo of Mineralogia in Bologna ; from those was originated the homonymous book. This project was part of BOLOGNA 2000 CITTA’ EUROPEA DELLA CULTURA. Besides she took part in the international artistic meeting – WIR GRABEN EINEN SCHACHT NACH BABEL – Kulturbergwerk Rosschaukel – Stilfs – Bolzano. She repeated this experience in 2001. In 2001 she took part in the exhibition – ELEMENTI DELLA ROCCHETTA - Sala Complesso Monumentale Alvar Aalto – Riola – Bologna, and in the international competition TERRA MORETTI, for ARTISTI DEL TERZO MILLENNIO, and she was inserted in the general catalogue.

Martino Barbieri
Sculptor and Performer

Martino Barbieri was born in 1948 in Bentivoglio (Bo), lives and works in Casalecchio di Reno (Bo). In 1965 he began his experience as a graphic. In 1973 he attended engraving courses held by Dino Zuffi, a teacher in the Fine Art Academy in Bologna. In 1974 he started his expositive career with graphic. In 1975 the sign became substance- sculpture in wood-carving. In 1983 from wood to ceramics and copper, the research –journey went on till he met glass in 1984.In 1990 he became a student of the Dutch sculptor Frank van den Ham, going deep into melting-techniques and afterwards creating a personal artistic research. Since 2001 he has co-operated and has been vice-president of the cultural association and Publishing House Hermatena. He has taken part in several personal and collective exhibitions in various Italian cities ( Roma, Faenza (Bo), Bologna, Modena, Padova, Chieti, Ferrara). He has, among others, realised the following sets: 1979 – Piazza Italia Nuova – Bologna; 1979 – Piazza Manunzio – Bologna; 2000 – “LUCIDA NENIA” Osservatorio Astronomico S. Giovanni in Persicelo – Bologna; 2001 – VOLO DI POSATE VERSO I CIBI DELL’ ANIMA – Piazza San Francesco – Modena; 2002 – “IL MANTELLO DI: name and surname” Sala Absidale di Santa Lucia – Alma Mater Studiorum – Bologna. He has created the following plates: 2001 – IERI CELTI – CELTI OGGI – illustrated route about the celtic culture – Centro Italiano di Cultura – Dublino; 2001 – Bill and book-cover of “... E DANTE SCRISSE DI MAGIA” – Museo Barracano – Bologna; 2001 – ETRUSCHI NELL’OGGI - Illustrated route about Etruscan culture – Centro Esagono – Roma.
