Art
and alchemy
|
Alchemy
means to trasform lead into gold, humble and raw substance into
noble stone, as well as the man of the darkness into the divine
man, so that the human being has been able to develop recearches
that had as aim to obtain either material or spiritual wealth. In
this last acceptation Alchimy could inspire even art, which often
borrowed from it symbols and images to describe the spiritual ascent
of man. Artists’ purpose is to create the guide thread among
Art,images and symbols of Alchemy, that from the far past re-emerges
in a sort of alchemic/artistic pilgrimage of the Third Millennium.
