Martino Barbieri
In his present works, the artist Martino Barbieri breaks the mirror of the separation, so that death and rebirth become supreme fusion, between intuitive and rational inspiration. And here, relics of sigarettes used up on the verge of a fit of nerves, groups of harmless suckles for infants, show, sovereign, themselves, where only the outer moral order survives, which replaces the real nourishement. Only rules given by the time stiffness withstand in the photos of the same artist, together with remarks that recall a false decency, that smells of advertising slogan. It is not allowed to spit in public, not to commit big or small sins, whereas, in private, the scenary is always open and the public is waiting for a new monster to throw at first page, to cheer up our own night. In these works we find a brave and insulting “j’accuse”: the monster is the artist. Martino Barbieri confesses himself. “ He that is without sin, let him first cast a stone”. (From the introduction of Morena Poltronieri)

The civilized person does not swear in public.

The civilized person does not behave affectionately in public.

The civilized person does not touch goods displayed in public.

The civilized person does not rape children in public.

I am afraid of death.

I have to take eros inside soul.
